41.97 Moderator of township meeting. Sec. 97. The supervisor, if present, shall be the moderator of an annual or special township meeting of the electors, and if he or she is not present, the meeting, under the direction of the township clerk, shall elect by voice vote, a moderator of the meeting. However, the township clerk has the same powers and duties as the moderator until a moderator is chosen.
