41.98 Duties of moderator. Sec. 98. The moderator of a meeting of the electors shall preside in and regulate the proceedings of a meeting of the electors. He or she shall decide all questions of order and make public declaration of all votes passed, and if a vote so declared by him or her shall immediately upon such declaration be questioned, he or she shall make the vote certain by polling the voters, or dividing the meeting, unless the township, by a previous vote or by its bylaws, has otherwise provided.
