445.1087 Rights and remedies of consumer. Sec. 7. (1) This act does not limit the rights or remedies available to a consumer under any other statute of this state. (2) A waiver by a consumer of rights under this act is void. (3) In addition to pursuing any other remedy, a consumer may bring an action to recover for damages caused by a violation of this act. If the manufacturer is found to have violated this act, the court shall award the consumer the amount of actual damages caused by the violation and may award the consumer costs and reasonable attorney fees.
