49.21 Grounds for deportation of convicted aliens; determination by prosecuting attorney. Sec. 1. Whenever any alien shall be convicted of any felony under the laws of this state, or of any offense involving moral turpitude, it shall be the duty of the prosecuting attorney having charge of the prosecution of such persons so convicted to ascertain if there be grounds upon which the deportation of such alien might be secured under the immigration laws of the United States.
