500.228 Examinations and investigations of insurers; report of crimes to attorney general. Sec. 228. If it appears from an examination or other investigation made by the commissioner or if it appears from a report made to the commissioner pursuant to this act that a crime has been committed under a provision of this act or other law of the state, the commissioner shall immediately report the crime to the attorney general in writing, and the attorney general shall take such action on the report as the facts warrant.
