500.5205 Proof of corporate existence and authority to insure. Sec. 5205. If it is necessary, in any legal proceedings, to prove the corporate existence of a domestic insurer, a copy of the articles of incorporation, with a certificate by the commissioner attached, that the copy is a duplicate of the copy on file in the insurance bureau and by the certificate of the state treasurer in proper cases, that the securities required to be deposited with the state treasurer have been deposited, together with a certified copy of the insurer's certificate of authority, shall be prima facie evidence of the corporate existence of the insurer; and except in proceedings by or under the authority of the state, to question its corporate right by information in the nature of quo warranto or otherwise, shall be conclusive evidence of the authority of the insurer to issue policies and transact business as contemplated by its articles, until such authority has been terminated.
