§ 565.242

565.242 Seals on instruments affecting real estate; instruments previously recorded; construction. Sec. 2. The record of any instrument affecting the title to real estate or any interest therein heretofore recorded which does not show that an actual seal, a scroll or device used as a seal, the word 'seal' or the letters 'L.S.' was affixed to the original instrument, or a transcript thereof, may be given in evidence as in other cases and shall be effectual for all purposes of a legal record and such instrument shall be construed to be as valid and effectual as if such instrument had been in such respect duly executed.
