6.12 Impeachment; senate appointment and removal of subordinate officers. Sec. 12. The senate sitting as a court of impeachment shall have power from time to time to appoint such subordinate officers or clerks and reporters as may be necessary for the convenient transaction of business, and at any time to remove such officers.
