§ 600.582

600.582 Sheriff and deputy; officers of court; powers; disobedience or default. Sec. 582. The sheriff and his deputies: (a) are officers of the court for the purpose of executing the process of the court; (b) may execute all lawful orders and process of the court in any county of the state; (c) to whom process is directed may be punished for disobedience or default therein in the manner prescribed by law.
