600.589 Fine; excuse, remission. Sec. 589. Upon any fine being imposed in any of the cases hereinbefore specified, notice thereof shall be given to the person fined, to the end that he may, within a reasonable time, render any excuse to the officer imposing such fine, or show cause why such fine should be remitted.
