722.115p Child care center, group child care home, or family child care home; potential or current child care staff member convicted of crime.Sec. 5p. (1) Except as provided in section 5n(14) and (15), a child care center, group child care home, or family child care home shall not allow an individual to be a child care staff member without requesting a criminal history check as required by section 5n. (2) If a criminal history check performed under section 5n or information obtained as a result of notification from the department of state police under section 5k reveals that a potential or current child care staff member has been convicted of a crime as described in section 5r, the department shall notify the child care center, group child care home, or family child care home.
