722.124 Persons authorized to place child.Sec. 14. Only a parent, guardian of the person of a child, a person related to a child by blood, marriage, or adoption, a child placing agency, or a governmental unit may place a child in the control and care of a person. This section does not prevent foster parents from placing foster children in temporary care according to rules promulgated by the department. History: 1973, Act 116, Eff.
