§ 750.429

750.429 Employing solicitors, cappers, or drummers. Sec. 429. Any physician or surgeon engaged in the practice of medicine in this state who shall employ any solicitor, capper, or drummer for the purpose of procuring patients, or who shall subsidize any hotel or boarding house, or who shall pay or present to any person money or other valuable gift for bringing patients to him or her, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 6 months or a fine of not more than $750.00.
