750.191 Refusing, omitting, and delaying to serve process. Sec. 191. Any officer authorized to serve process, who willfully and corruptly refuses to execute any lawful process to him or her directed, and requiring him or her to apprehend or confine any person convicted or charged with an offense, or who willfully and corruptly omits or delays to execute such process, whereby such person shall escape and go at large, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 1 year or a fine of not more than $1,000.00.
