78.5a Annexation; petition; vote; approval of adjoining city, village or township. Sec. 5a. Where the territory proposed to be annexed is adjacent to a village and consists of fractional parts of platted subdivision lots, located in an adjoining city, village or township, annexation may be accomplished upon petition of the property owner by the affirmative majority vote of the legislative body of the village and the approval of the legislative body of the adjoining city, village or township.
