780.871 False statement or unauthorized disclosure; violation; penalties.Sec. 21. (1) A person shall not knowingly make a false statement in an application submitted under section 5. (2) Except as otherwise provided by law, a person that is authorized under this act to access a confidential address, telephone number, or electronic mail address of a program participant or that is provided access to a confidential address, telephone number, or electronic mail address of a program participant under section 11 or 15(3) shall not knowingly disclose that confidential address, telephone number, or electronic mail address to any other person unless the disclosure is authorized under this act. (3) A person that violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 93 days or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both. History: 2020, Act 301, Imd. Eff.
