801.105 Violation of MCL 801.103 and MCL 801.104 as misdemeanor; liability for damages. Sec. 5. A sheriff or other officer who violates the provisions of either section 3 or section 4 shall be liable to the party injured for damages and, in addition, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
