69.7a Commencement of fiscal year. Sec. 7a. The fiscal year of a village shall commence on March 1 of each year. The council may by ordinance adopt another date for the commencement of the village's fiscal year. The fiscal year of any village subject to this act that commences on a date other than March 1 on the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section is hereby ratified and shall continue until changed or modified pursuant to this section.
