769.1d Expense of confinement in state institutions. Sec. 1d. The expenses of confinement of any person confined to a state hospital or other state institution as provided for in the foregoing sections and sections 22-a and 22-b of chapter 14 of this act, shall be defrayed by the state and may be recovered from such person or his estate.
