82.2 Change of boundaries; rights and liabilities of annexed territory. Sec. 2. Whenever any city incorporated subject to the provisions of this act shall have its boundaries changed by the addition of any territory thereto, or by the taking of any territory therefrom, the rights and interests of the township or city from which such territory shall be taken or to which it shall be annexed as well as the rights of the persons affected by reason of such change of boundary, shall be settled and adjusted in accordance with the general laws of this state in such cases made and provided.
