10.576 POW AND MIA RECOGNITION DAY. The third Friday in September of each year is designated as Prisoners of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA) Recognition Day to honor and recognize the courage and sacrifices of individuals from Minnesota who have been prisoners of war or who are missing in action.
