10A.38 CAPTIONING OF CAMPAIGN ADVERTISEMENTS. (a) This section applies to a campaign advertisement by a candidate who is governed by an agreement under section 10A.322. (b) 'Campaign advertisement' means a professionally produced visual or audio recording of two minutes or less produced by the candidate for the purpose of influencing the nomination or election of a candidate. (c) A campaign advertisement that is disseminated as an advertisement by broadcast or cable television must include closed captioning for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, unless the candidate has filed with the board before the advertisement is disseminated a statement setting forth the reasons for not doing so.
