103I.241 ACTION FOR WELL CONTAMINATION. Subdivision 1. Owner's cause of action for well contamination. The owner of real property where a well is located has a cause of action for civil damages against a person whose action or inaction caused contamination of a well. The property owner may commence an action for a period of six years after the owner knows or becomes aware of the contamination of the well. Subd. 2. Court awards. The court may award damages, reasonable attorney fees, and costs and disbursements. History: 1989 c 326 art 3 s 15
