110A.25 DIRECTORS. Subdivision 1. Qualification. No person shall be qualified to hold office as a member of the board of directors of any district unless that person is a party to a contract to purchase water from the district. Subd. 2. Vacancies. Vacancies on the board by reason of death, disability, failure to hold land in the district, or in the election division if election divisions are provided for, or otherwise shall be filled by the board of directors. The members elected to fill vacancies shall serve until members to fill out the remainder of the terms may be elected at the next succeeding district election. Subd. 3. Compensation. Members of the board of directors shall be paid their actual expenses while engaged in performing the duties of their office or otherwise engaged upon the business of the district.
