136F.23 STUDENT ASSOCIATIONS; PURCHASING AUTHORITY. Notwithstanding chapter 16A or 16C, the student associations recognized by the board may purchase goods or materials through state purchasing authority for the ordinary day-to-day operations of the associations. The student associations must be nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations in order to qualify for this authority. The Department of Administration may require that the purchase documents be approved by appropriate officials in the board's central office.
