137.028 BIENNIAL BUDGET REQUEST; UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA. Beginning in 2013, as part of the biennial budget request submitted to the Department of Management and Budget and the legislature, the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota is encouraged to include a request for funding for rural primary care training by family practice residence programs to prepare doctors for the practice of primary care medicine in rural areas of the state. The funding request should provide for ongoing support of rural primary care training through the University of Minnesota's general operation and maintenance funding or through dedicated health science funding.
