144E.015 MEDICAL SERVICES DIVISION. A Medical Services Division is created in the Office of Emergency Medical Services. The Medical Services Division shall be under the supervision of a deputy director of medical services appointed by the director. The deputy director of medical services must be a physician licensed under chapter 147. The deputy director, under the direction of the director, shall enforce and coordinate the laws, rules, and policies assigned by the director, which may include overseeing the clinical aspects of prehospital medical care and education programs for emergency medical service personnel.
