31A.16 STORING AND HANDLING CONDITIONS. The commissioner may adopt rules prescribing conditions under which carcasses, parts of carcasses, poultry, poultry food products, meat, and meat food products of animals usable as human food must be stored or otherwise handled by a person in the business of buying, selling, freezing, storing, or transporting them, in or for intrastate commerce, if the commissioner considers action necessary to assure that the articles will not be adulterated or misbranded when delivered to the consumer.
