176.201 DISCRIMINATORY RATES. Subdivision 1. Physically disabled persons. An insurer, or an agent or employee of an insurer, shall not make or charge a rate which discriminates against the employment of a person who is physically disabled through the loss or loss of use of a member whether due to accident or other cause. Subd. 2. Violation a misdemeanor. A person who violates subdivision 1 is guilty of a misdemeanor. Subd. 3. Conviction of violation, cancellation of license. Where an insurer, or an agent or employee of an insurer, has been convicted under this section, the fact of conviction is sufficient cause for the commissioner of commerce to cancel the license of the insurer to write workers' compensation insurance.
