219.18 RAILROAD TO ERECT SIGN. A railway company operating the railroad at each grade crossing shall erect and maintain one or more uniform crossbuck signs. The signs must be on each side of the railroad tracks and within 50 feet from the nearest rail, or at a distance greater than 50 feet as determined by the commissioner.
