242.45 CHILDREN COMMITTED BY UNITED STATES COURTS. The commissioner of corrections shall receive into custody and keep until duly discharged all children within the prescribed ages committed to the commissioner by order of any court of the United States within the state for offenses committed against the laws of the United States, and for the support of which children the United States shall undertake to pay a per diem charge as determined by the commissioner of corrections.
