243.555 SMOKING BY INMATES PROHIBITED. No inmate in a state correctional facility may possess or use tobacco or a tobacco-related device. For the purposes of this section, 'tobacco' and 'tobacco-related device' have the meanings given in section 609.685, subdivision 1. This section does not prohibit the possession or use of tobacco or a tobacco-related device by an adult as a part of a traditional Indian spiritual or cultural ceremony.
