245A.156 DISCLOSURE OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASE. Subdivision 1. Licensed foster care. This section applies to county agencies and individuals who place children or adults who have a known communicable disease, as defined in section 144.4172, subdivision 2, in foster care settings licensed under this chapter. Subd. 2. Placing agency's or individual's duties. Notwithstanding sections 144.291 to 144.298, before a county or individual places a child or adult with a known communicable disease with a licensed foster care provider, the agency or individual must: (1) disclose to the foster care license holder the individual's communicable disease; and (2) determine that the foster care provider has the ability to provide care to the individual.
