252A.17 EFFECT OF SUCCESSION IN OFFICE. The appointment by the court of the commissioner as public guardian shall be by the title of the commissioner's office. The authority of the commissioner as public guardian shall cease upon the termination of the commissioner's term of office and shall vest in a successor or successors in office without further court proceedings.
