256R.22 CASE MIX ADJUSTED TOTAL PAYMENT RATE. Subdivision 1. Case mix adjusted payment rates generally. For each facility, the commissioner shall calculate case mix adjusted payment rates for each case mix classification. Subd. 2. Determination of case mix adjusted total care-related payment rates. A facility's case mix adjusted total care-related payment rate for each case mix classification is the sum of: (1) its direct care payment rate as determined in section 256R.23, subdivision 7, multiplied by the case mix index; and (2) its other care-related payment rate as determined in section 256R.23, subdivision 8. Subd. 3. Determination of case mix adjusted operating payment rates. A facility's case mix adjusted operating payment rate for each case mix classification is the sum of: (1) its case mix adjusted total care-related payment rate as determined in subdivision 2; and (2) its other operating payment rate as determined in section 256R.24. Subd. 4. Determination of case mix adjusted total payment rates. A facility's case mix adjusted total payment rate for each case mix classification is the sum of: (1) its case mix adjusted operating payment rate as determined in subdivision 3;
