257.065 AUTHORIZED CHILD-PLACING AGENCY DEFINITION. For the purposes of this chapter and chapter 259, 'authorized child-placing agency' means the local social service agency under the authority of the local social services agency or human service board, or any agency licensed by the commissioner of children, youth, and families or a comparable authority in the state or United States, to place children for foster care or adoption.
