306.28 PROPERTY SALES BY PUBLIC CEMETERY ASSOCIATIONS. A public cemetery association which owns land that is or may be no longer used for the burial of the dead may exercise any or all of the following powers: (1) to institute and prosecute to final judgment an action to determine adverse claims to the land in accordance with the laws relating to actions to determine adverse claims; (2) to sell and convey the land; or (3) to transfer and assign any funds or other property it may possess to another public cemetery association serving the same community in the burial of the dead.
