326B.172 LICENSING AUTHORITIES. Any municipality may by ordinance establish a licensing authority with jurisdiction over all passenger and freight elevators within such municipality, fix the initial and renewal fee for, and the period of duration of, licenses to operate such elevators, and setting forth the requirements for applicants for and the terms and conditions of licenses to operate such elevators.
