345.50 DETERMINATION OF CLAIMS. Subdivision 1. Commissioner's duties. The commissioner shall consider any claim filed under sections 345.31 to 345.60 and may hold a hearing and receive evidence concerning it. If a hearing is held, the commissioner shall prepare a finding and a decision in writing on each claim filed, stating the substance of any evidence heard and the reasons for the decision. The decision shall be a public record. Subd. 2. Payment. If the claim is allowed, the commissioner shall make payment forthwith.
