356.245 LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS. An elected official who is covered by section 353.01, subdivision 2a, or 353D.01, subdivision 2, whichever applies, is eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan under section 356.24. The applicable local governmental unit may make the matching employer contributions authorized by that section on the part of a participating elected official.
