367.14 NEW TOWN. When a new town is organized, embracing part of an existing town, the clerk of the existing town shall deliver to the clerk of the new town all papers and files pertaining to the new town that can be moved, and certified copies of all records, papers, and files that cannot be moved. When deposited in the office of the clerk of the new town, the certified copies shall have the same effect as originals that were originally filed there. History: (1066) RL s 661; 1990 c 401 art 1 s 1
