375.63 VETERANS TO BE GIVEN PREFERENCE. Nothing in sections 375.56 to 375.71 shall be construed to remove, limit, or extend the rights and preferences of veterans as established by sections 197.455 and 197.46, except that the county board may enact rules relative to retirement age which shall apply to veterans on the same basis as they apply to other persons.
