382.20 SALARIES NOT AFFECTED BY NET TAX CAPACITY REDUCTION. When the salary or clerk hire of any county officer shall be decreased during the term for which elected because of a reduction in the net tax capacity of the county the board of county commissioners are hereby authorized to fix such salary and clerk hire in an amount equal to that received prior to the reduction in the net tax capacity of the county.
