8.12 SOLICITOR GENERAL; DUTIES. There shall be in the Office of the Attorney General a solicitor general who shall be appointed by the attorney general from within the limitations of the authorized staff, and who shall perform such duties in the place and stead of the attorney general as may lawfully be assigned.
