8.34 BIAS-MOTIVATED CRIME PROSECUTION TRAINING. Subdivision 1. Definition. For the purposes of this section, 'prosecuting attorney' means a political subdivision's elected or appointed county and city attorney and any of that attorney's assistants who have criminal prosecution responsibility for bias-motivated crimes. Subd. 2. [Repealed, 1994 c 636 art 4 s 41] Subd. 3. Records of attendance. The head of every agency that employs prosecuting attorneys shall maintain records of the number of prosecuting attorneys who have attended the bias-motivated crimes prosecution course and the number of those who have not. The agency head shall report annually to the attorney general on these attendance and nonattendance figures. History: 1990 c 459 s 1
