508.40 COPY OF CERTIFICATE OF TITLE TO BE FURNISHED TO OWNER. When a certificate of title is entered, the registrar shall make a copy of it and deliver the copy to the owner or an authorized agent. The copy need not be presented or surrendered to permit an instrument, voluntary or otherwise, to be filed or a new certificate of title to be entered, or a memorial to be made on a certificate of title.
