546.33 TRIAL BY REFEREES; FEES PAID BY THE COUNTY. When, in a trial by referee the court shall state in the order of appointment that the reference is made necessary by press of business, the fees of the referee, as taxed and allowed by the court, shall be paid out of the county treasury, as the salaries of county officers are paid.
