An insurer, insurance agent, or insurance-support organization must not obtain information or authorize another person to obtain information in connection with an insurance transaction by: (1) pretending to be someone else; (2) pretending to represent a person; (3) misrepresenting the true purpose of the interview; or (4) refusing to provide identification upon request.
