636.07 CARE AND CUSTODY OF MINORS. Every sheriff or other person having charge of a minor under the age of 18 years, chargeable with any crime, shall provide the minor while in confinement with good reading matter, and relatives and friends likely to exert a good influence over the minor shall at all reasonable times be permitted to visit.
