83A.04 COUNTY BOARDS NAMING GEOGRAPHIC FEATURES MUST HAVE APPROVAL OF COMMISSIONER OF NATURAL RESOURCES. No county board shall order the change of or establish the name of any lake, river, or other body of water without the written approval of the commissioner of natural resources endorsed on any resolution determining or fixing such name, which endorsement must be made on the same prior to recording with the county recorder.
